• Yes, 2 m.2 nvme slots. It uses gen 3 SSDs but gen 4 will work, as it is backwards compatible. Pretty sure you can add up to 4Tb of storage.

• Yes you can, though it would be best if you cloned the primary drive into your upgraded drive. There are some partitions in the stock drive, whish Asus installed. If you do a fresh install, there will be some software issues
