• Various reviews from what Ive seen have said that the HDMI port does not connect directly to the dedicated GPU, but the USB-C (DP 1.4 spec) does.

• The USB-C port is connected directly to the dedicated GPU (Radeon 6800M), so you can use an external monitor with USB-C type connection. I have been using it with a Huawei Mateview GT and works amazing, but I would suggest to buy a monitor with FreeSync capalities.
