You can add an M.2. Drive for extra storage (and speed if you reinstall the OS on it) or you can make an image of the OS on a USB and buy a bigger HDD and swap out the existing one for it. Either option will give you more storage.

Please try again later.a TB is the hard drive think 2x 500GB , 1TB is the total hard drive space, its not a memory thing, I think your question should of been can you expand or upgrade the hard drive to a bigger size like for example a 4TB laptop hard drive, if I am correct understanding your question, I hope that helps. some laptops can easy upgrade the HD drives on the bottom on the laptop it depends on the brand of laptops, also the same thing for memory upgrades sometimes can access from the bottom of the laptops that why some laptops say that the memory can be expanded on them to a given amount.
