• The Thunderbolt 3 port works fine on mine. It's got all the software pre-installed as well to run thunderbolt peripherals. I also tested it with a USB-C drive and it worked fine.

• See here https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1031591 . It's a 40 Gbps full thunderbolt. I personally have not used it yet but eventually will in the future.
