This board only has 3 PCI sockets available. One PCIe 5.0 x16 and two PCIe 4.0 x16 (with a 4x mode available.)

I got that information off the owners manual for the board, you should be able to grab it from ASUS's website as well to verify anything else. I also did only see those three slots when building with it, so wherever it listed 5 was incorrect.

For what it's worth, the board does have 5 M.2 expansion slots. Not sure if that number was incorrect used for PCIe slot count.

It only has 3 PCIe slots.  Not sure where you saw something saying 5 but the Mfg site says three and the Board I received had 3 just like I expected.
