“Has anyone been able to get an Oculus Rift setup on this without crazy lag in every movement? I feel like this should run better than the 1070 in my old desktop, but it is struggling.”

yeah, the laptop will do that at first, now im not sure if this will work for the g15 but it does for the g14 but try putting certain applications from the oculus app on high performance, and other ones on low performance as u can see in this image *including vr dashboard* u can find these application in task manager and going to services, doing this should solve the lag but could disable virtual desktop. also in task manager u have to set the computer to run the server application at real-time performance by finding it in services, right clicking it and setting it there like that.
