Q: QuestionIs international warranty available from US in NL for this 2021 model? Can anyone from ASUS or BESTBUY pls confirm IT? .. According to ASUS website it's available. But BB said it is not for previous models.

Q: QuestionDoes the lid have some color inside some of the dots? I know this one doesn't have an animated lid, but several pictures show the lid with streaks of colors in it, but the one I have seen in person appeared to be solid grey (with no color in the dots).

• A:Answer Each dot in the array has a small reflective surface on it. Viewed from certain angles, you can see a rainbow pattern across it. This pattern changes with angle, distance, and light source. It's reasonably easy to obtain a photo with or without the 'rainbow' effect. As a humorous effect, it's quite easy to be at such an angle that someone across the room can't see it at all, but you can see it perfectly.

Q: QuestionHas anyone been able to get an Oculus Rift setup on this without crazy lag in every movement? I feel like this should run better than the 1070 in my old desktop, but it is struggling.

• A:Answer yeah, the laptop will do that at first, now im not sure if this will work for the g15 but it does for the g14 but try putting certain applications from the oculus app on high performance, and other ones on low performance as u can see in this image *including vr dashboard* u can find these application in task manager and going to services, doing this should solve the lag but could disable virtual desktop. also in task manager u have to set the computer to run the server application at real-time performance by finding it in services, right clicking it and setting it there like that.

Q: QuestionBestbuy told me that they are able to upgrade and install everything to get it up and running, but I would have to pay for it. What do I buy to fully/completely max it out? Money is not an issue. How much ram&storage? What brands are best?

• A:Answer Hello so first off as to max it out on power u can’t the only real thing to do to this model is add a second nvme ssd that is all because if u upgrade the ram to let’s say a 16gb it will drop out of duel channel ram both sticks have to be the same 8gb 3200hz for me since I got the 16gb model so your stuck there but let me tell u this 16gb of ram is very good for the next few years no problem there just add a new nvme ssd a big one and your good I have it all ready and let me tell u it’s a beast not a 3080 desktop beast but it’s par with my 9900k and 2080 so it’s very powerful

Q: QuestionDoes this model have issues when dual booting with Linux? (Ubuntu 18.04) Last year's models (g14 & g15 2020) had issues with CPU and GPU drivers. As most of my work is on Linux, the dual boot problem is a deal-breaker for me.

• A:Answer You can charge it over usb type C, but it wont charge fast enough when gaming. That being said the physical size of the included power brick is smaller than other gaming laptops ive owned, so its not an issue for me.
