“I cant run games like CS:GO, Overwatch, and Insurgency even at the lowest settings. I’ve even tried to play games that some of the reviewers claim run well on this laptop. Could I have gotten a lemon? Is there something I’m missing?”

Try going into the NVIDIA control panel and go to the 3D settings and the options from choose automatically to NVIDIA processor. If you don't have the control panel the download the NVIDIA GeForce Experience. But the computer should have come with it on there, mine did.

I looked to see what BIOS ver was on it and it was 202 which is way out of date. So I uploaded the 302 version and now it runs great. It only took me about 20 min with a Flash thumb drive
