- Answer The Armoury Crate software that comes on this notebook will allow you to adjust the fan profile. The performance of the cpu/gpu will increase at the higher fan profiles.It will get hot like all gaming notebooks but not too hot.This is a good notebook for my use work/gaming however I'm moving up to the GX502GV-PB74 which will allow me to connect three monitors at work. Psst I game when the boss isn't looking.

- Answer There is an empty m.2 PCIe NVMe slot. I know that 1TB Gen3 PCIe NVMe modules work in this slot and I don't see any reason why you couldn't install a 2TB SSD in that 2nd slot as well for a total of 2.5TB. Just make sure that if you want the fastest storage possible in that open slot, that you buy a NVMe PCIe Gen 3 SSD and not something that says m.2 SATA SSD.

- Answer Don't bother... Some of the components in this system do not have drivers available for Windows 7, and while you might be able to find similar win7 drivers that will get it working, it will likely be unstable and will run like garbage. This laptop was designed for Windows 10. I'd stick with with that or a very recent distro of Linux.

QuestionIs this Laptop by anychance VR Ready without any bit of lag? Currently I have a gaming computer with an 8gb ram and my vr has been lagging and acting out. Since this has 16gb ram, I am going to assume that this is a great computer for VR.

- Answer For the time being, I say no. The hardware can do it, BUT, this computer has a huge thermal throttling problem.

- Answer nope, with this you are able to work on it a little to upgrade and what not but the standard manufacturer warranty should be enough. Unless you have the extra cash.

- Answer Other answer is not 100% accurate. While you cannot install a 2.5" HDD like you can in some other non-ultrabook laptops, this laptop does have an open PCIe NVMe SSD slot where you can install a 2nd NVMe SSD up to 2TB, bringing the total SSD capacity to 2.5TB. If you swap out the 1st NVMe SSD as well, you could in theory use two 2TB NVMe SSD's for a total of 4TB.

- Answer it can barely handle regular pc games...good luck getting it to run an oculus (but there are hdmi to DP adapters you can get)
