The Armoury Crate software that comes on this notebook will allow you to adjust the fan profile. The performance of the cpu/gpu will increase at the higher fan profiles.It will get hot like all gaming notebooks but not too hot.This is a good notebook for my use work/gaming however I'm moving up to the GX502GV-PB74 which will allow me to connect three monitors at work. Psst I game when the boss isn't looking.
