Honestly I debated on getting the alienware because I've always run with the brand but honestly this is one of the best laptops I've seen or had in a long time. The gaming portion is flawless, but I haven't tried to run any games like StarCitizen which requires a huge output of ram and processing power. For the price I would say this is one of the best laptops out right now. But I wouldn't not consider the m15 r3 just because of its interchangeable aspect.
