• Yes, that would be a problem only because it can only be upgraded to 24GB of RAM. The RAM it currently has is two 8GB of RAM and one is soldered into the motherboard so you can basically only upgrade one RAM to 16GB- which would bring it to a total of 24GB of RAM.

• It can be upgrade to 40GB Ram if you buy a 32GB stick, it's not limited to 24GB.

• Yes, you can add 32GB in the other slot for a total of 40GB, but only 8gb can run as dual ram if the mobo supports this type of partitioning.
