For normal use on silent mode. I get about 9-10 hours. If you are running more intensive programs you could be getting about 6-8 hours depending on the programs. This laptop offers really good battery life. If you are looking to code in this laptop keep in mind that there is no Home/End/PgUP/PgDn keys. These keys tend to make programming a lot easier. If you are ok with not having these keys, then I see no problem with getting this laptop.

The performance does begin to bog down when the computer gets to about 10% battery, which is to be expected. Typically, I keep it plugged in when I'm gaming though. I cant speak for battery life when not gaming because that is primarily what I've done with this laptop so far, but it definitely will last longer. I never shut it down as well, and sleep mode seems to barely effect battery (also to be expected). As for gaming, this laptop does a good job for what it is. Everything runs quickly, which is nice, and I've tested a variety of games on it with no performance issues. It does seem to get hot, so I purchased a cooling pad that I set it on when I plan on gaming for longer stints. This fixed this issue entirely for me. The size of this laptop is perfect for portability. Honestly, even with just the 2060 graphics card in this, this is probably my favorite laptop, overall, right now.
