Yes! mine has done it a few times, only when I am surfing the web. It doesn't happen when I am playing games. There are several threads on Reddit about it. From one of the posts: It's believed to be something to do with the drivers on the Radeon chip. if you press Windows+shift+ctrl+b it'll perk the computer back up because it actually boots the drivers again on the chip. Most haven't had issues with it while running games(since it switches to the RTX, and it's a Radeon issue.) Also try turning Freesync off in the radeon chip settings, it's under Radeon Lite(in your programs). I just found this Reddit reference tonight, and have not yet had a chance to try the " press Windows+shift+ctrl+b" option yet,, so I don't know if it works yet. (But even if it does, that's not he long term fix I'm looking for. I've had this laptop for 5 days now and love it, but the screen suddenly going blank it frustrating! Enough to the point that I'm thinking of returning while I still can!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A temporary fix would be to reboot the drivers by pressing Windows+shift+ctrl+b If you're looking for a more permanent solution, a user on reddit (r/ZephyrusG14) suggests deleting the AMD drivers, and reinstalling the updated ones fixes the issue. Here's the link containing step by step instructions on how to delete and reinstall the updated drivers for anyone having the issue. Note, if you've never done anything like this, you may find it difficult. Hopefully new units will ship with the updated drivers. I hope this helps you all, good luck fixing the issue everyone! https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/gir8ni/_screen_idle_power_draw_fix_megathread/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This happens to mine as well, my workaround was pressing the power button lightly to make the system go to sleep then waking it up immediately afterwards. I think this maybe cause by the system moving between the integrated GPU and the and Nvidia GPU. I set mine to only use the Nvidia GPU for everything and I haven't had the issue in a few days.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have similar issue before, but after trying to install the AMD Graphics, Chipset Driver, everything seems to be fine now. You can download the driver from MyASUS manually.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I am running 2 extra monitors and I ran into this with my surface tablet also which was the hz settings on the external monitor. For some reason it would default to 59hz and when I set it to 60 it fixed the problem. On my asus g14 either one of the external monitor would go black at random. Glad to say I have traced it down to the oculus 2 software. After Uninstaling the software the g14 is back to normal.
