• It is noticable but not if you are far away. And during COVID19 I suspect that you wont be elbow to elbow. I think its fine for University now. It gets louder when gaming but quiet otherwise. Don't game in class.

• While pushing the graphics cards, yes the fan is distracting. In regular usage, it is not too loud. There is also a "Silent Mode" that runs the fans less and is a little quieter, although you will probably get less life out of your cards with less cooling, so I wouldn't recommend using that mode too much.
