“I picked this up today and charged it to 100% before first use. I checked the battery status and at 98% it is showing remaining battery life is showing to be only 2 hours 20 minutes. Battery setting is set to Better Battery.”

Don't know if you worked this out or not but I have the same issues as you...Full charge and the battery only lasts 2 hours. I was told by ASUS support to do a battery recalibration. Basically drain the battery completely, then charge it to 100% while it is off. Then drain the battery again and charge one final time. I am half way through the process so I don't know it is works or not but worth a shot.
