I'm not sure on SFP+ vs SFP, but either port can be used as WAN or LAN. I have CAT6 coming from the wall, so I plugged that into the RJ45 10Gb WAN port and bought an SPF+ transceiver to plug my LAN RJ45 into.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The SFP+ port is for 10g intranet copper/fiber connections to, say, a switch with an SFP+ jack, or a Network Attached Storage device with a similar type of jack. If your modem's line has an RJ45 male jack, plug it into the 10g WAN port.
