Does this charge with a USC type C ? null

Yes. I use mine at work and have it plugged in via a USB C hub/dock and it charges fine. It's the port on the left closest to the trackpad. The port above does not charge.

It does not charge with a USB-C cable, it uses an ASUS barrel plug charger.

No, this laptop does charge through the DC-In port.
