It's pretty likely that the cooling has been improved with added heat pipes. I ordered one today, so I don't know for sure, but the Asus website mentions upgraded cooling for the 7700s (although it's paired with a 7940hs instead of this 7735hs).

Higher TDP, higher memory bandwidth, more shading units, higher memory speed, higher turbo speed, higher pixel rate, higher texture rate, more TMUS, and 20.5 TFLOPS vs 7600S's 15.7 TFLOPS. I got this from versus.com. Essentially, what you should ask yourself is do you want the 7600S with a better battery (I'm assuming cause I bought this today and the gpu is better so it should have a shorter battery life) or do you want the 7700S with better performance/ higher fps in games. I'm pretty sure its a nice boost too. As for thermals, I'm not too sure, sorry.
