Yes, the ASUS TUF Gaming FA617XT has 2 memory slots. It comes with a standard memory of 16GB which is removable, but it can be upgraded to a maximum memory capacity of 32GB. The memory type the device supports is DDR5 4800.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You say it has two RAM slots, removable, upgradeable to 32 GB. That implies it must come with two 8 GB sticks cuz otherwise (if one 16 GB stick) you would just add a 2nd 16 GB stick to get to 32 GB. But this whole limitation to 32 GB thing makes no sense to me. Why could I not just put in two 32 GB sticks and get to 64 GB. Unless Asus explicitly limited the motherboard to 32 GB addressability. And if so, why would Asus be so stupid as to do that ?!? You’ve already limited the 2024 Zephyrus G14 to either 16 GB or 32 GB by making it skinnier and soldering in the memory and reducing the power supply. But this model has a beefy power supply and could support more memory. So why the limitation? Does Asus just hate memory? I’m guessing this might be another instance of Asus misinformation, and this laptop supports 64 GB after all. Waiting for confirmation from an actual owner.
