“What is the battery life like? I've heard reviews saying it can last as long as 8~ hours, or as low as 5.5~ hours simply using it for browsing or watching videos/movies. I understand that using it for gaming it will drain faster, what about everyday use?”

I'd say with light use, it might be 6 to 7 hours or even more. But yeah it seems to have good enough battery life.
