A:Answer No. Using Speed Test utility on Verizon website, my results were:
Router to network speed: Download 938 Mb/sec. Upload 913 Mb/sec.
Computer (using wireless adapter) to router: Download 262 Mb/sec. Upload 123 Mb/sec.
I bought this adapter to improve the speed of my computer internet use, which it has, particularly since I now have access to my router's 5 GHz band, which my previous adapter did not. The old adapter never produced better than 4 Mb/sec. The speed test utility also shows that the signal strength rates as medium, which probably has some negative effect on connection speeds. For my use, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
