CanI I save on the ssd? or do i need an external drive? null

Yes you can save to the 500 GB SSD also another thing to note is this unit has a micro SD card slot. I my self got a 512GB Micro SD card and use that for extra storage space.

It's a 500Gb SSD which is pretty large. If you're just saving for storage I would get a powered USB hub and increase your 3.0 ports. You can put files you don't use much on thumb drives or an external. The SSD on this model is a Kingston and it's not too shabby. Got some great numbers on benchmark.
