Which password are you talking about? You have a password that can be set via the system BIOS and then there is the Windows password. The answer depends upon which of these two passwords you need to reset. Also remember that if you are resetting your password, your system assumes that you are just changing your password and will require you to enter your existing password to make the change (for either of the two passwords). If you need to reset your password because you forgot it, that is a totally different ball of wax with different methods to reset it.
