I own one and I took it apart. The hard drive is upgradeable. I put a SSD in mine, made a clean install of windows 10, and it made a world of difference. The cd/dvd drive also has a sata connector, and I thought of adding a second drive in place of the dvd drive. Also, I added a qualcomm Atheros ar9462 wifi N + bluetooth, and an additional antenna in place of the standard wifi card. This laptop has only one antenna.you'll need the second antenna for bluetooth and N speeds.
