The differance between 1ms 5ms or 7ms on and on is the response time from when you do something that you see it appear on the screen. 1ms response time is optimal for gamers because there is virtually no delay between your controls and the responsive action on the display. the higher the ms the higher the delay. This is why most gamers no matter what systems they play (PC, Xbox, PLAYSTATION) Tend to favor computer monitors over a tv, Because the delay is much less with a monitor.
