"U" or "R" is the black online version that Amazon, etc. sells. "W" is the white colored version of "U". They have a dual core 800Mhz chipset. "P" is v2 of "U/R/W" -- has faster/better chipset, dual core 1Ghz, and fixes problems with USB 3 storage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Per the ASUS site, the "W" version is same as the "U" version except for having a white case. The "U" versions and "R" versions are the same except for the sales channels that can sell each model. The RT-AC68P is a newer build with a slightly faster processor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think they are pretty much the same router except that the p has a faster processor than the u and maybe a few upgrades
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the "P" version is exclusive to Best Buy. Feature wise, it is the exact same as the other models, but it has a faster processor which yields better performance when utilizing the USB 3.0 port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 68P has a faster processor (1GHz) over the 68U (800 MHz), although the 68U is the most commonly found version. In reality, the speed doesn't make any difference that you can tell, so either version is fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You know i will tell you what little i know and that is that if was i tiny bit of work to get the settings but their tech support from 8-5 Mon thru Fri was excellent the person i got he flrst time which was on a weekend was not much help to be honest but it is very fast and i live in a pretty good sized one story house and have had no reception or connection problems at all and i have a lit of electronic devices all over my house large aquarium pumps fans lights almost every electrical appliance you can think of and almost all running at some time during the day and not a single issue have i ha d. Also i use V.P.N service for ip address masking and it works great with that as well i stream all my video devices tablets iPhones MAC book And PC laptop often all at the same time and it works flawlessly so far but i think should for the $200 bucks it cost. Thats really all i can tell you Oh and my router is at the farthest corner of my house and i don't think i lose reception even at the opposite end of my lot which i about a well quarter acre at least but my walls are not concrete so that could have an effect I'm sure
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The RT-AC68P is the Best Buy exclusive. Asus makes it only for Best Buy, and there are minor upgrades that do make it worthwhile to purchase it from Best Buy.
