“I am not familiar with what appears to be a touch pad with math functions. I am purchasing this for my wife and she uses the touch pad to move cursor. Can she still do that without engaging the numbers, etc on the touchpad?”

The glide or touch pad has a calculator icon that enables the calculator keypad within the rectangular pad. What looks like a share icon adjusts the brightness of the calculator keypad. You can actually glide over the calculator keypad and have to press a number/character to use the calculator function. Eventually the calculator will disappear if you are no longer using it. It does not mention it but it comes with a stylus.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Touch pad has a number icon on the top right where you can activate and deactivate the NumberPad mode. It uses an LED light, so when you tap the icon it will light up and is ready to use NumberPad mode. I use it all the time and even when the NumberPad is on, I can still do other functions like scrolling up and down and other gesture functions without engaging with the numbers. It is very efficient!
