QuestionI am not familiar with what appears to be a touch pad with math functions. I am purchasing this for my wife and she uses the touch pad to move cursor. Can she still do that without engaging the numbers, etc on the touchpad?

- Answer The glide or touch pad has a calculator icon that enables the calculator keypad within the rectangular pad. What looks like a share icon adjusts the brightness of the calculator keypad. You can actually glide over the calculator keypad and have to press a number/character to use the calculator function. Eventually the calculator will disappear if you are no longer using it. It does not mention it but it comes with a stylus.

QuestionThe battery doesn't last 4hrs when running basic Microsoft suite apps. I saw in the specs that it can last 12 hrs. Would this mean that there is a problem with my laptop? I have only been with it for 2 days.

- Answer Make sure battery is charged fully - 100%. And, while plugged in, make sure all updates are done. Some Windows updates are large, and make the processor and storage work a lot. If all that is done, and battery still discharges quickly, there may be a problem with charging circuit not fully charging battery, or perhaps a bad battery.

- Answer Mine came with Windows 10 Home. As far as I can tell it's totally silent and I haven't felt any heat but haven't had it in my lap.

QuestionRead a few reviews about other 14" inch Zenbooks and main complain was a glossy screen that can be a bit annoying since it's reflective. What are the user experience with it and can it be used in bright environment as well as outside? Thanks

- Answer We have owned one for two weeks now and don’t have any complaints yet. Looking at the monitor from the side angle I do see fingerprints and reflections. If looking at the monitor directly you can see some reflections especially if you have a window or some bright light behind you, but mostly we don’t pay attention on them. I assume that laptops with a touch screen have the screen like on a smartphone or a tablet which are usually glossy. So really this is similar to what and how you see from your smartphone.

- Answer Yes, it has Windows Hello and it is quite accurate. If it does not recognize you then you can enter a pin. Nice feature.

QuestionWhat's the best way to connect 2 external monitors? Tried USB-C to HDMI cable but didn't work. HDMI port is fine. Would it be an HDMI splitter or just a USB-C to HDMI adapter instead of cable?

- Answer To connect 2 external monitors properly, one monitor connects directly to the HDMI port and the other one using a USB-C to a HDMI video out adapter. Using a USB-C to HDMI cable to directly connect the monitor will not work.
