The DC adapter that comes with the laptop is 90W. Charging via Thunderbolt 4 is just as fast as the DC adapter -- IF you have a charger or docking station that can source at least 90W. (And of course the USB-C/TB4 cable must be rated for at least that much power.) If you use a charger that can't supply full power, the laptop will pop up an on-screen notification that it's charging slowly. I use a mixture of the DC adapter, a Dell TB4 docking station, and an Anker 120W PD charger (with 100W cable), and the ONLY time I get the slow-charging message is when another PD device is plugged into the Anker at the same time as the laptop. I also don't notice any difference in charging time via each method.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will be slow if you charge the laptop through the Thunderbolt port. We recommend charging it through the DC jack or power port. The Thunderbolt's maximum power is 100 watts.
