• Via voice through ok google which can be a hit or miss sometimes , but you can down a messenger app with keyboard function.

• Keyboard comes with Android 2.0 I believe, which is in the works.

• You can add an additional app what will allow you to reply via keyboard, but I find voice easier. very difficult to peck out a reply - but it is possible.
