- Answer IN CASE OF A LOSS OF POWER, ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO RETRIEVE YOUR MESSAGES. WHAT YOU NEED TO REMEMBER IS IF POWER IS LOST, NATURALLY YOU CANNOT USE THE PHONE SYSTEM. I SUGGEST AN INEXPENSIVE PLUG IN PHONE THAT WORKS SEPARATE FROM YOUR SYSTEM OR USE YOUR MOBILE PHONE IF YOU HAVE ONE.

QuestionDoes this phone allow you to delete individual msgs as you are listening through them? Our current phone won’t allow you to keep or delete individual msgs. It’s keep all or delete all. I hate that! Sometimes I need to keep msgs to refer back to later.

- Answer Hi - We are sorry to hear that the answering machine on the DS72319 does not work as expected. The ANS ON button on the telephone base should be lit up at all times for the answering machine to pick up calls and record messages. If this does not help, please contact our Consumer Sales and Service Center between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday at 1-800-595-9511. Thank you, -VTech Support
