“Can I bypass my wired telephone outlets with this model by plugging the main phone for this AT&T - CL82407 (or similar models) to my COMCAST/XFINITY Dual Band Modem / Wireless Router? And will I then NOT have to plug the other handsets into wall jacks?”

We purchased this phone because none of our phone jacks worked. The main phone is connected to our WiFi modem and the extensions are used throughout the house. The extensions phones simply plug into the wall. We get exceptional service on our phones. So the answer to your question is yes. Of course if your internet service goes out, so does the phone service.
