Does the red charge light ever go off? null

No the red light stays on but the picture of the battery shows it full when it's fully charged.

NO, my husbands light stays on all the time! You can see it in his pocket we hate this phone. He can NOT erase incoming missed calls, the volume keeps being shut down in silent as he carries it in his pocket. There is nothing good about this phone.

The charge light will remain on as long as the unit is in the base.

The consensus appears to be red light stay on in cradle, off out of cradle. I agree. I find the handset easy to find in a dark room.

When the handset is out of the base the red light will go out.
