• Yes. There is a setting called "auto talk". When you turn it on in the settings, you answer the phone just by picking it up from the base or charger. When the call is over, you simply put the phone back on the base or charger and it turns off. You never have to push any buttons .

• When you set it on the cradle, it will hang up by itself. Hitting the off button and setting it in the cradle are the only two ways to terminate a call.
