• A:Answer Would have to unlock this device to use another carrier than AT&T. Have used so far with AT&T (through OTR Mobile) and it has worked perfectly for our fulltime RV needs.

Q: QuestionCan a wi fi extender be connected to the hot spot? It doesn't have a WPS button on it so I can't figure out if it can be done.

• A:Answer Haven't tried but even if it does work it wouldn't be ideal. I would recommend bringing this into a wifi router via ethernet and using the router for wifi and extenders. I do this with a ubiquiti setup, this, ubiquiti router, ubiquiti switch, wifi aps, devices, works great

• A:Answer ATT has the firmware available online. There are different models also with different firmware. I recommend checking the negear site for your specific model.

• A:Answer Yes it will grab different IPs based on the dhcp TTL, you can force a renew which may or may not grab a new IP based on provider settings.

• A:Answer Yes, you can turn the router into “bridge mode” and let the External IP pass-through to a regular router. We’re currently using it with a google WiFi setup at our house and it works pretty well.

• A:Answer This modem is awesome for one. It will come with a SIM card att or Verizon you can add a tiny mini SD loaded with movies and stream them wich is a cool feature. It will use a standard phone SIM card. I use the over the road mobile service wich will send you another SIM card. It’s very good for out in country. We use it at our US paragliding school.
