The phone supports 3G and 4G, but we will be discontinuing support on our 3G services, so it will only work over 4G at that point.

If the SIM card is the same type, you can just insert the SIM card into the new phone. If not, you can visit an AT&T store to have your number and plan moved to a compatible SIM card.

It does not initially, because the phone comes locked. once you get it unlocked, then it will work on other carriers.
