Yes you can, that’s what I did because I didn’t want to pay big bucks for a phone. If your old phone has a nano sim all you do is remove the sim from your old phone and move it to this one. Your account will automatically recognize the new phone. If you have a micro sim just go online or att.com and use the chat to order a new sim. If you ask for it to be free they will more then likely send it to you free. Takes about 2-3 days to ship or have them send it to a att store nearby and they will do it same day and put the sim in for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased this phone for my wife. She is on a friends AT & T account, not my Verizon (long story)... she had a flip phone prior to this on their account. I just used the old sim card & everything transferred, did not need to contact AT & T. The only problem was we lost her contacts because the contacts were saved to the device...not the sim card. I could not switch them to the sim card because the phone was broken & would not power up. Everything is working fine... just go into your storage settings and save everything to the sim card... not the dvice.
