Give it a try. It may be a 2-step process. Insert your Motorola SIM card into the new J2. Set the J2 Sim card aside for a moment. Once you start up your new J2 try going to the Att.com prepaid website. Open log-in to your prepaid account to see if the J2 shows up as a "new" phone. If not, see if you can add the J2 but putting the activation numbers on the side of the box the J2 comes in where it asks. Then you should see your left over balance on your J2. If this doesn't work, try the customer service phone or chat box onscreen for assistance.
