“The website is giving me 2 prices, one "with activation today" and one without......it's a prepaid phone, what is the lowest activation cost out there as I am not looking to use it as a prepaid but as a replacement for a busted phone already on AT&T?”

if its on at&t prepaid, get the one without activation.. if your old phone has the same sim card type (no way of knowing ahead that I know) you just switch the sim card to the new phone and run a few things to transfer stuff.. if the card is not the same a simple call and help from them will do it (give them some serial number off phone and battery).. the new phone is a go from there.. if you have a existing prepaid plan active it even carries over in both cases.. now if your talking about not prepaid at&t plan for old phone I am not sure how that works.. hope this helps
