Unfortunately, no, you will need a mimo antenna to try and get better signal strength. That issues is the same with any wifi based device.

If it is only getting an "E" (Edge) signal, then the speed will still by abysmal. If you need to increase your signal, you might check into a 4G LTE signal booster such as the weBoost Home (see product recommendation below). I live in a rural area and use this device to improve my wireless signal. The weBoost works with just about any mobile provider and will improve the signal for all of your mobile devices. However, the device is not cheap and getting it properly installed may prove challenging or expen$ive.
