Get small paper clip and open it take the end an slowly clean the port out I did it on phone and now works great lint gets in there that’s how Apple tells to do it.

Since there is no manual to explain things, I am guessing based on my own experience, so your mileage may vary. 1. Change the cord to one that you know charged on other higher powered chargers. 2. Plug and unplug from the device (not from this USB charger, keep the same port) a few times until it starts charging. Yes, it's weird. I think it's because the Ai (intelligent part is learning). 3. Now keep the same port for all future charging for the same device. I think the Ai port takes a few tries to learn the device that it's plugged in. Personally I would rather have a port clearly labeled with different AMP settings and let me choose myself which device needs what power.
