• Thank you for your inquiry. According to the manual for the Bose 321 system, it appears that you just need to connect the turntable directly to the analog inputs. No amp should be necessary. You will need to enable the preamp on the turntable.

• you can but it would play extremely quietly if the speaker isn't powered
