Make certain you have the preamp selector switch on the back of the turntable set to the correct position for the input the turntable is connected to. If the turntable is connected to the PHONO input on the amplifier or receiver, the preamp selector switch must be set to the PHONO position. Otherwise, there may be a problem with the stylus (needle).
