• The needle sets itself automatically. You press one button to start the turntable spinning, the needle moves to the start of the record, then you press a second button to lower the needle onto the vinyl and it plays. Or you can set it so it automatically lowers once it's over the start of the record. I bought one about a month ago and find that it's very easy to use.
