The upscaling blu-ray player requires a standard blu-ray hdmi cable. For the best picture though I recommend a True 4k player.

If you don't have the TV mounted use as short of a cable as possible audio quest cinnamon is a good start but I recommend chocolate minimum.

You should use the most expensive cables that you can possibly find. It’s very important to buy ridiculously expensive cables that are not any better than $5 cables.

Look for a cable with two ends that is pretty and not unshort enough for your old picture tv.
