• Not even a full inch. it is just what I needed because my TV had an HDMI input that the connector came straight towards the wall. It is a very high quality connector. I called the manufacture to confirm. My TV is very close to the wall using this connector

• Should be less than a half inch. Depends how far your connector on your Tv is recessed.
