Q: Adapter
A: Not even a full inch. it is just what I needed because my TV had an HDMI input that the connector came straight towards the wall. It is a very high quality connector. I called the manufacture to confirm. My TV is very close to the wall using this connector
Q: will this adapter distort the image or make it weaker ??
A: I am not a tech expert, but as a general consumer using this adapter I have seen no distortion or weakening of the signal from ultra HD dvd player to my 4K TV- It helped with space saving/cord management for me and I like it!
Q: what is the difference between the 'narrow' and 'wide' versions of the 90 HDMI adapter?
A: The "Wide" adapter has the wide part of the plug closest to the female jack. The "Narrow" adapter has the narrow part of the plug closest to the female jack. If the HDMI port on your TV is oriented with the wide part on top (and the narrow part below) the "Wide" adapter will point up and the "Narrow" adapter will point down. Obviously if the TV's HDMI jack is oriented the other way (upside down) these positions will be reversed. This is we don't call the adapters "up" and "down" because it depends how the TV's HDMI jack is oriented.
A: First, try a different adapter. Second, make sure the adapter length is sufficient to engage connector 100% before hitting TV cabinet.
