• Hello, connecting the Fire TV Stick to this HDMI coupler and then to an HDMI cable to a TV's input should work just fine. As far as going through an AV splitter, as long as the splitter is of good quality I think that would work as well.

• This coupler is male to male, effectively making the cable attached to it , that end is now male instead of female, great for extending most f-f cables as in 2 short cables. (18inch_F-F+coupler +18inch_F-F= 36inch_F-coupler-F
