This is a WiFi bridge which allows you to access your August Locks from Anywhere.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Smart Connect does NOT have a camera. This allows you to access the lock remotely via WiFi so you need a WiFi connection to be able to lock and unlock the door far away. There is a doorbell I believe that also includes a camera, but I don't have that so I can't speak to that specifically. We bought the lock and connect and the keypad to be able to use on our second home which we also rent out through AirBNB. It's worked beautifully so far and the fact that it integrates with AirBNB so when someone books the house it automatically sends the person a link to the app and then can get access when they link their August Home app and AirBNB accounts. We don't have to worry about having anyone there to let people in and no keys have to be collected.
